Hi,
I've seen some Mods that have News on the Front Page, or something similar.
I would like to have a little table on the left side of my front page (portal) where it shows the latest 6 topics, and by whom' they are startet.
And Also, It should respect the private forums, so that a member only sees what he's supposed to, a guest what he's supposed to (if there are some forums for members only) and the Admins see everything etc.
The Syndicate does this, but isn't good enough. It doesn't show who the author is... that's the only thing missing.
Any Idea how I could add this? or anyone who would like to make this Mod? |

Can't you look at extending the syndication mod yourself to do this if it is just that missing?
How well do you know ASP? |

The Content Display MOD does this, but the private forums isue is not yet taken care of but there is a fix. I just have not had an opportunity to update the zip. I should be able to get to that tomorrow.

i post a modified version of syndicate.asp file in this topic.

and if you know how to change the HTML content format, i think you can try this. i also extract the Author,Topic Date,LastPost..data too, but the Author Name i just make it show on mouseover tooltip now.

Kat - I don't know ASP that well actually. But this Syndicate Mod, it only works when I try the JavaScript option... and JavaScript I know even less of...
@tomic - looking forward for that MOD-update of yours...;)
