Would it be possible for me to "give" the ranks to my members instead of earning them? I want there to be like a points scale if they have 0 points they are "noob", they get 1 point they are a "beginner", 3 points "Gettin there", 5 points "About to boom".... etc.
Would this be possible? I don't really like the "50 posts and you go up a level" thing. I want to reward people for good ideas or winning a contest or being helpful. Not for flooding my forum or just being active but not saying anything important! Do ya know what I mean

Sorry about that, I didn't read the description for this forum so I didn't know that I should've posted my idea in here instead of the other one.
Anyways.... I know you can give a custom rank/tag, but I want to change the way the rank/tag is earned. I want to be able to have any mod or admin award points to someone for posting a good idea, and if they get a certain number of points THEN they go up a level... I don't want to let people earn rank because they are posting as much as possible!
Do you understand what I need now?
