I have heard a bunch bout this mod too... but while I was waiting for it, I found this mod It was VERY easy to install... on a scale of 1-10 (10 being hardest) it would get a -1. EASY EASY!! Lets users upload link to avatars, sends out an email to let them know that they uploaded it, and sets up a table with all your avatars in it.

I believe this is for 3.3 version of forums, not 3.4 version.

There's a current (3.4) avatar mod at http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=34509.

I haven't used it, but others say it works great. I too was holding out for the Avatar Plus mod.

From what I gather Av + is finished - it just hasnt been released.
