upload the dbs files to your forum, then in admin options choose MODS, install each one (check delete after use). then upload all the serv-code. the only thing you should need to change is the location of your database in the new config.asp. |

I mean that yhe code contains clutter, many many things are right on each other.
I (for a sample ) don't like that this are placed in the top of each page:
[ Active Members: 0 | Anonymous Members: 0 | Guests: 1 ] [ Total: 1 ] [ Newest Member: Huntress ]
But each human have different feelings
Else I like your work because, you have continued the classic design of HuwR's first Modi code. |

Perhaps if I was to post in the right topic it would help me out better. I have looked everywhere for the DBS files for serverhackers moded forum but have been unable to locate them. Are they listed for download somewhere? Thank you. |

I couldnt get the upgrade to work so I decided to go for a clean install and re-create my old forum. An hour later I had what could probably best be described as 'the perfect forum' Great work serverhecker. Its so perfect I havent even felt the need to do more than alter the background colour and add a pretty picture.
a very happy Vaio |

Serverhacker is having a week off for a well earned rest. post any queries or problems to his forum and we'll see if we can sort you out. |

Thanks for showing me where to find the dbs files.
I have installed all dbs files and moved the forum files over to my forum and I am receiving the following error msg.
ADODB.Recordset error '800a0bcd'
Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record.
/forum/include/member_spotlight.asp, line 38
That line is rsmeminspot.move intrnd
I have not modified this file at all. |

you might want to place a text copy link of your member_spotlight.asp, config.asp, topic.asp so that our more experienced ASP volunteers can have a look at what's causing your error messages.
by the way... i think requests for help are supposed to go to "Help MOD Implementation"
...just my two cents, sir...

Thanks for the response. You could be right on where to post help questions. Since you mention that perhaps I should post on serverhackers forum.
I installed the 008 upgrade and I dont receive the error msg but I also dont have the members spot light showing anymore either.
Member spot light is not that big of a deal but its a nice to have. |
