Currently I don't have time to write it because I'm dealing with v4 base code. This MOD will require some degree of knowledge about v4.
As you know, with v4 we will have language packs... One or more packs for a locale. E.g.:
LangPack for v4.1.03 for Locale 1031 (German) - Sie version by Robert (date:2003/08/12)
LangPack for v4.1.03 for Locale 1031 (German) - Sie version by Rasco (date:2003/07/10)
LangPack for v4.0b04 for Locale 1031 (German) - Sie version by Rasco (date:2002/11/07)
When a new Snitz version is released, the language files will also need to be upgraded with high probability, because of new strings coming in... Also there will be cases that people correct their translations after some usage period.
Assuming there is a central depot for language files (there must be one, regardless it is official or not official), anybody who will upgrade his/her v4 installation will also need to install the related language file...
The idea we had in v3.4betas, namely the modified syndication MOD seems to be a good candidate for this purpose...
Can anybody take this part?
