would running setup.asp kick start the variables again? also, I know this sounds silly to ask, but did you make sure caching is turned off in your browser as well? (okay slap me now )

It looks like it does. But the problem I have now is not the variables, but some caching going on.

Yes, that is silly. But I won't slap you since workmule did the honours.

They said they are using IIS5 with Service Pack 3. They also restarted the server for me, but I haven't check if that fixed it yet.
