Does anybody know if there is a laguage MOD out there somewhere.

The ideal solution would be for the user to define which language he/she would like to view the static text in.

The turning-point could be a XML-file with all the different languages supported - or a text-file called lang_uk ; lang_dk ; lang_d ; lang_se and so on. So that if the text file was there either the admin could point at which language he/she would like as the default language, or the user could point as his/her preferred language.

Anyone?

That`s what V4 will be for. The user can choose between the installed language packs. Currently, for V4Beta there are many languages packs available. Look here:

I suddenly may have a need for a couple of languages myself. I'd like something if it is available for Snitz V3.4.xx. V4 is called a beta for a reason. I don't believe it is fully supported to the extent as V3.4 is. (Or is it?) It is still being worked on whereas V3.4 is more stable. In addition, most of the MODs will not work in V4. I need certain MODs.

Is there any thought about when V4 will be released? I know it is a LOT of work to do all that converting to many languages. And I am sure that other changes will be incorporated into it.

Thanks.

So I can download the latest V4.x and add the MODs in the same way as v3.4.xx and not have any trouble since they are the "same"?

Check the link in my signature for all info...

About MODs: You'll most probably use a MOD with v4, but in one language. Therefore the MODs must have converted to implement multi-language concept...

There is no ETA for v4b04, the status of development is a sticky topic in internationalization forum. If you are interested, please read...

I just looked at a couple of links. There is a lot of work to this project. Wow. It sufre will be nice when it is a released product. The hardest part has to be just as soon as you are finished bring v4 up to the level of v3, a newer version comes out.

Very interesting. Thanks.
