Good idea for a project TMPJ, wouldn't it be better to use the latest version of Snitz for its base though?

I use 3.3.05 because I can't figure the Response.Write thing out, if 3.4.03 were in HTML format of cose I will have used that.
But don't cry but don't cry, I am the person who knows that ANY MOD builded for Huw´s 3.3.03 code could be converted to standard snitz.
In fact I will take some of the 3.4 functions and add them to my modded code. |

yes, it's a shame to skip all the benefits of 3.4 because of Response.Write because if you just start working with it you will see that it is not that dificult and within a couple days you will not be bothered by it.

It just seems like a shame to be stuck at 3.4 forever. Perhaps if you asked what to do when you get to a tricky part you can make it through or reference existing code for examples. Most of it comes down to just needing " & and it's reflexive & "
Obviously there's a bit more to it than that but not all that much.

I honestly doubt anyone will download an earlier version when there is a faster more secure one out already. |

Tmpj, if you prefer modding with standard html you can still add it.
Simply use the %> and <% tags and place any html you want between them. |

OK, but at least we can say that you are 10000000000000... better than me to ASP
But I like 3.3.05 because there are so many MODS, and for beginners it is easy to mod or intergrate |

although I applaud your persistence, I don't believe many will be interested in a modded 3.3.05 forum... my main and most important reason for upgrading to 3.4 was security. I believe in functionality over presentability first... the cosmetics and features can come later... this is the network part of me coming out though ;) |
