Ok... first I thought maybe I don't know how to count... or I just am going crazy... now I think there is a bug in flood control.
For some reason, I kept double posting today... it always happened when I tried to submit a post and was stopped by flood control.
The flood control message came up over and over... even after 60 seconds.
So IMHO, there is a bug somewhere that is submitting the post to the DB AND showing the flood control message (which causes me to click back and submit it again).

I think you are going crazy, but that's just me .
let's not post these things to the bug forum until they are confirmed as a bug, I am trying to keep the bug forum as clean as possible. Plus, this way you can post without having to wait for your post to be approved. |

No problem.
This is one of those that you might need your test account to track down (since Mods and Admins don't get the flood control message).
And I thought I was crazy at first... but it is happening to consistently.
As an example, I got the message - clicked back... then while I was waiting, I opening a new window with Active Topics. There I see my message... the same one I have open in another window on post.asp, and the same one it told me was flooding.

sounds like something might be up on your end, if you are getting constant double posting. We had thought about using javascript to disable the submit button after it was clicked on, but it didn't work in all browsers. |

It might be something funky on my end... but here is why it is so strange.
1. Submit message 2. Flood Control Error 3. Click Back 4. Try Submit Again 5. Message Posted
BUT... 2 copies of the message now show up in the forums.
Disabling the submit button would not have helped in this instance.
For some reason, I am getting the flood control message AND it is posting.

That new version of ZoneAlarm might be the culprit for this problem as well.
One thing that has changed, is that when you post to a Moderated forum, the M_LASTPOSTDATE used to not be updated, so you could post as many times as you wanted to Moderated forums and you would not get the flood control message. This has been fixed, so that the M_LASTPOSTDATE is updated after all posts, not just ones to un-moderated forums. |

I have had this problem on unmoderated forums too.
I disabled ZoneAlarm so I could remove one variable.
