With previous versions, I recall people recommending deleting setup.asp off your server for security reasons. Did previous versions not have the login requirement first?

Does anyone still delete this file from their server after installation or are most secure enough with the login feature to leave it there? Just curious what the consensus is. Thanks.

I'm not sure exactly why that was recommended. There should be no security problems with leaving setup.asp in your forum folder.

Thanks Richard.

I had seen that mentioned several places in the archives and also here: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=27912&SearchTerms=delete,setup.asp,security

Another useful tip is to remove setup.asp once Snitz has been installed since it is not reqired after installation and there are some issues with leaving it in place.

It's up to you really. If you want to remove it, you can. There aren't any issues with leaving it in place though.
