Hi,

I have just found out about this program. What I'd like to know is how this is installed and what is required for installation.

What servers does this run on? Any that it doesn't? If I'm not asking the proper questions please forgive me due to the newness of this.

Thanks for any help.

You need a server that will run ASP and either capability for an Access, MSSQL, or MySQL database. Check out http://forum.snitz.com/specs.asp for more info. (Look under System Requirements)

Davio:
I'm guessing that the read me.htm file is one that comes with the snitz program??

My next question is How easy is the set up of this? Would someone just in the very very begining of asp learning be able to set something like this up?

Thanks for any help that you send my way, it is greatly appreciated.

Like Nikkol said, make sure your host meets the basic requirements listed on the specs page. After that you should be able to download the zip file. Once you've extracted the zip file, you can read the readme.htm file that is in the zip which contains all the instructions you would need to have.

You do not need to know any ASP to set this up and run it. Just make sure you follow the instructions carefully and post for help in these forums if you need it.

Thanks to all of you for your help. Espically answering the question regarding the asp knowledge.

I'm totally in the begining of learning the asp.(days 1&2 of Sams teach yourself asp 3.0 in 21 days.) I'd apprecaite some heads up on some other books that would be bennefical.

I'd definatly be here for help regarding the set up and runing of the snitz forums. I have skimmed through some of the threads in here and everyone appears to be full of help, and not condeming of those who are learning, which to me is very important in a forum.

God speed to all of you and thanks again for the help. You have all been tremendous.
