I was using an older version until yesterday when someone hacked in and trashed my forums. I have downloaded and installed the newest version 3.4.03 and I am using my orig database, which is Access 97. I can access the forum however when I try and register, post a message or do just about anything else I get this error message:
'Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e37'
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query 'FORUM_BADWORDS'. Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly.
/v15/snitz/inc_func_common.asp, line 214 '
The error message is always about FORUM_BADWORDS. My forum is at www.spiweb.net/v15/snitz How can I correct this?

How do I run it again? When I go to setup.asp it says setup is complete and I do not see a way to run it again. |

I meant have you run it since you did the upgrade - which it seems that you have. But for some reason the database tables are not being created correctly. |

I have tried the new version with my orig database, access 97, and the new database, access 2000. (I get different error messages with each database) When I try and run the setup.asp with the new database it askes me for my admin username and password. I never had the chance to set this up so I do not know what it is. (I do not have access 2000, therefore I can not open the database to see what it is.) Is there a defaul username and password in the access 2000 database? What is it? |

In version 3.4 you will create the admin username and password, there is not a default in the database. Just enter what you want for the admin username and password and continue.

I suppose will want to use the old database to keep whatever info it was left in it. Maybe you care to tell us what error do you get when executing setup.asp and we will be able to help you. |

Doug, I think my original database is corrupt or something because as I stated above I get an error messages when I try and register or post a message. Besides the only information left in the orig. database was the members. The hacker was able to delete everything else before I could get to it. So with the new Access 2000 database when I go to setup.asp it says I have to login as admin. I was never given a chance to create a username and passowrd for admin. Did I miss something in the set up? Where do I create a username and password. If I put something in on the login page it tells me I am not allowed. |

I visited your forum and I see it is the 3.3.05 version, not the 3.4.03 version. So you won't be able to upgrade if you are still using the old files. |

I think I have the new version running now. I thought I had it before but apparently not. How do you tell? I deleted everything and started all over. Earlier this morning I requested a backup copy of my original database from my server. They told me it would be several days before I get this. When I do get this I would like to use it. What changes will I need to make to use the orig Access 97 database? |
