Nicely done Amir, I am sure there are plenty of people who would benefit from your zip file saving time installing the mods themselves. |

I've painstakingly installed MODs POLLS and ACTIVE USERS on my v3.4.02. How will your MOD affect these components? Will my install of your MOD be straightforward or is this a complete upgrade?
Thanks for all the hardwork in integrating all of the mentioned features! You wouldn't believe how much time you're saving ASP-challenged forum admins, such as myself. BTW, do you plan on integrating events calendaring and polling to your MOD?
thanks a bundle,
Armand |

Anyone having trouble with this package?
I upgraded the db from 3.4.0.1 to the 3.4.0.2 after swapping the files to this package. Now, since I've upgraded, I have an issue with dllhost.exe comsuming lots of CPU - like 90% constantly as soon as I try and hit /default.asp - other files (admin_home etc) seem fine. The browser then never gets to default.asp, erroring with
quote: The maximum amount of time for a script to execute was exceeded. You can change this limit by specifying a new value for the property Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS administration tools. /btoforum/default.asp
Any ideas? |

I already have 300 members in my forum and I just want to use the files .... will this allow me to just upgrade my DB? |

OK - I've got more and more errors now ......
In addition to the default.asp problem (dllhost.exe taking all cpu) and then the error as above, I also get .....
quote: Microsoft JET Database Engine (0x80040E10) No value given for one or more required parameters. /btoforum/pop_profile.asp, line 205
and (similar)
quote: Microsoft JET Database Engine (0x80040E10) No value given for one or more required parameters. /btoforum/topic.asp, line 114
and finally
quote: Microsoft JET Database Engine (0x80040E37) The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query 'FORUM_news'. Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly. /btoforum/admin_newspost.asp, line 157
Thoughts?

good idea my friend, but perhaps you should have waited for the stable 3.4.0.3 release (out in a few days) |

andy, I haven't checked the zip file yet, but my guess is that you need to make the changes to the database that those individual MODs require. Perhaps amir included the instructions to do that. I'll check in a sec and let you know...
<UPDATE> - I looked at the contents of the zip file and I didn't see any specific instructions for making the necessary changes to an existing database for this modified forum to work. Perhaps amir could provide instructions on doing that. It may be that amir just intended this to be a "fresh install" forum and not to be used with an existing database. |

Nikkol, Thats what I figured too (especially when I seen the active users setup file) - except there are no instructions for it anywhere in the zip file.
Amir - can you oblige? Many users wont instantly know how to setup the various tables in the DB (like me) |

This maybe *waaay* off track here - but couldnt I simply get the dbsetup files from each mod and run those, thus creating the tables required for the already installed mods?
Those mods that I already have installed I simply dont run those dbsetup files.
Would'nt this work? |
