Hi All,

I was just wondering if people using double byte fonts have had any problems with font sizes when using the v4 betas.

A multi-language project I was working on typically set font sizes which were optimized for western single byte languages. When I got around to working on the Japan section using Japanese font sizes, the site text looked a little odd. The site itself ran fine, but the feel of the text seemed "off". Text sizes sometimes seemed a little too big or too small for certain areas, like navigation, etc. Has anyone had a similar experience with their native languages using v4 betas?

You are in a world of mixed encoding schemes and font types...even with different default font types - such as MS Gothic or Mincho, some fonts renders in differently in size. Sounds like you have some basic synchronization problem in handling single-byte and double-byte charsets and also font types...text sizing problem is one of the very common problems... probably your company should review a basic approach.<
