Since I didn't know where to post exactly, I am posting here.
Is it possible to use the Snitz Forum link of footer in another page instead of using in inc_footer. Because I am thinking in removing the inc_footer and doing another design, so it won't be very nice to hahve this link, but I could put the URL in a special session instead of putting in footer.
So, I need an answer of the person that manages about the copyright: May I put the link on another place of my page, instead of placing it in the footer, because I want to make some design modifications in the footer,,,????
Thanks a lot and I hope I can, but I will follow what you say... |

Sorry that it "won't be very nice to have this link", that link and the copyright notices in each file is the only thing that we ask in return for your use of this product. |

You can still have the inc_footer and changing the design of the footer, while keeping the copyrights - what exactly do you intend to do with it? |

It was because I am thinking about removing it (the footer) and change completly the design, or just remove it and add another thing in its place because I want to change the design, is it possible or not??
Thanks a lot... |

You have to keep the footer with the link, but you can change the design, if you like...shouldn´t be a problem. Check out the forums posted here too how it can be done. |

You can put a link to snitz any place you like, however the code that is in inc_footer.asp that says "do not remove" must remain as is. It's such a small, inconspicuous part of the page, I don't see why it's such a big deal to such leave it. |

remove everything else out of the footer besides the snitz image, and put your footer above the snitz footer. presto you get your custom footer, and snitz gets their link, which is more than justifued. |

If you read some of the discussions in the Show-Off Your Forums forum, you are likely to find some topics where the link has been altered, removed or moved. None of that is allowed. The link must stay as is, at the place where it is in the footer in the original files.
That means that you're not allowed to move it to the left or center of the page, but it does not mean that you can't alter everything around it to make your own footer. Just look at http://www.rakkoon.com/blah.asp (or guestbook.asp on that same site) to see how you can get your custom footer while not touching anything for the link back to Snitz. |

If Huw and/or Richard are aware that someone has violated the copyright, they have legal options they can pursue for persuading those people to comply. In such situations, I'm sure the outcome has differed on a case by case basis. |

If you find a page without the link back to snitz where it should be, just email Richard or Huw and let them know the website address. |
