I'm using 3.4.02 w/Access. i have board level subscriptions turned on in the admin section--i don't have any links to activate subs at category or forum level. can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong?
i want it set so everyone subscribed to the board gets every post.

You have to edit each category and forum and turn on subscriptions there also.

how are you testing it? Did you try actually subscribing and then posting as another user to make a post?

yes-i've setup a test user acct and am posting to that. Technically, shouldn't i receive an email every time a post is made?

Try posting as admin and see if the user gets and email. If you are a moderator (and an admin I believe) you do not get subscription emails. Better post as admin and see if your normal user gets the emails.

Did you actually subscribe to the topic/forum/category? Just turning them on will not work...

You've got other problems besides just subscriptions. Did you actually upgrade your database, because I went to your site and got this:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Invalid column name 'F_LAST_POST_TOPIC_ID'.

/forum/default.asp, line 237

When you get your forum up and running again, create a test user/password that we can use to login and nut around and see what happens.

Wayne,

Did you enable subscriptions for each category and forum too? You need to do that.
