That would be a wonderful option to have. I would not object whatsoever.
To add to the list of features, I will be working on a CSS print-specific stylesheet. |

Podge, the CSS validates ok. I had one error that was easily fixed. If you are referring to the warnings, I am honestly not going to worry about that to much. The warnings provided will in no way compromise the look of the forum. Thank you though for the reminder to run my CSS through the jigsaw validator!
Off to get some sleep myself . . . |

I'm scared to ask my question but how do we upgrade? I presume we have to start from scratch with your install? And then remod it all over again with our mods?
How hard is it to mod? I presume some of the code changes wont look the same anymore makeing them harder to find. :(
Man I wish this was just integrated into snitz directly. |

Very impressive robbear. I've been anxious to see your css'd forum. I just may use it on my site.
the question is, when will the official version incorporate css? :) |

Last I heard, there would not be an official Snitz version with CSS until after the internationalized version was released. |

Schwanke,
Snitz CSS'd is a clean install of Snitz 3.4.02, so if you do have any mods, you will have to re-install. Eventually we will have the administration panel for fonts and colors completely re-done and the DB updated likewise, which means any MODS that are not CSS'd will not look right. In the near future I will release a guide on how the CSS is applied to perhaps make CSS'ing MODS and additions to the forum more understandable. Furthermore, MOD authors may even ask me to CSS their MOD's if they wish. |

For the moment at least, your existing database will work fine with SnitzCSS Just overwrite all the files except your database, make the usual changes to config.asp and run setup.asp, everything should then work fine |

Hmm, I wonder if it is possible to allow backwards compatability with MOD's? It would be smoother to have the MOD's also converted to CSS to be used with SnitzCSSs'd, but that is not always going to happen I suppose. |

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I was getting ready to convert to 3.4.02 and dreading converting to CSS again(I manually converted my current vesion so I know the pain).
Many of the things you are working on sound great! If I use this code do you think you will be able to provide upgrade instructions when you get the rest working or should I just wait? |

3.4.03 is now available with all the patches applied.
As I understood it, not all patches in the .03 version were completely documented (which means you would have to manually find the changes. Or redo all that work)
Are you going to release a 3.4.03 version? Or have you manually applied all the known patches to this version? I know it's a lot of work either way but it looks like you'll be doing it anyway. Will you release the updated version? Thanks |

Fury, that is an excellent question. I was working with Serevinus on this project. Unfortunately my ASP skills are very limited. I am wholly depending on the volunteer effort of Serevinus to implement the admin portion of it. Honestly to admit, I do not know how 'upgradeable' friendly the admin portion will be. I suppose at worse you could in the future replace the correct admin_*.asp files and replace the database. That would unfortunately cause you to loose all your current messages, topics, etc.
Speaking of Serevinus, I havent heard from him in a while. I wonder how things are going.
If you are comfortable with CSS, then the beta version would be safe to use. You just wouldnt have the admin panel to submit changes. The style sheet could be edited by hand.

I hope to beable to have time to upgrade the listed changes made in the upgrade to 3.4.03. I can say this for sure, I will not be converting 3.4.03 from scratch. After the completion of 3.4.02 I was dreaming of font tags and class=""'s, if you know what I mean. I couldnt bear to look at any source code for a week in Dreamweaver after that project. My concern is if I manually upgrade the changes made from 3.4.02 to 3.4.03, will the board version really be 3.4.03 or my own modified 3.4.02? |

I am sorry I havnt been around much lately, I have been off for a couple of days, and getting business details sorted for another few I should have more free time now so I will get back to making these admin pages Sorry about the delay Rob I guess you had better check the version number query with Mr Kinser
Slightly off topic, but not completely... Does anyone know JavaScript, and if so can you see anything wrong with the JS in the preview page for my Style MOD (part of which will be implemented in Snitz CSS) This link will take you to the post with more details... Details |

Hey Jim,
Good to hear from you. I myself have been away for a bit, got a few design projects I am trying to tie up and finish.
I will check into the javascript problem and see what can be found out.
On another quick note, I made a small adjustment to the style sheet. As a matter of fact, only the last line has been modified, and the comment above it, should have the zip reposted in no time soon.
There are 2 mods I think would enhance this CSS version greatly. The message topic icon mod and the avatar mod. I really do not want to go mod crazy with this, but those 2 mods seem to be features that every great board should have. Let me know what you guys think.
