Hi,

I installed the Smile Manager on a clean copy of 3.4.01, but it's all gone a bit pear-shaped...

When I run MOD setup, everything goes OK until 'icon_smile_kisses' (!), after which I get the following error:-

quote:
-2147217865 | [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Invalid object name 'FORUM_SMILES'.

At the Smile Manager 3.4 Admin page I'm getting the following problem...

quote:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e37'
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Invalid object name 'FORUM_SMILES2'.

/snitz/admin_smiles.asp, line 142

I had first tried copying across the amendments into a MOD'ed version of 3.4.01, and then tried copying the new/changed files across into a clean version, and received the same errors both times... problems with my database?

Any info gratefully received, but please bear in mind I'm operating right on the edge of my sphere of understanding...

Simon

I just ran it on a clean install and had no problems.

Can you provide me more information?

Did you run the dbs_smiles.asp file before trying to add the old smiles? Can you check your database and see if the SMILES and SMILES2 tables are there?

Hopefully, this will help me replicate the issue.

Thanks,

--Aaron

Did you use the post.asp provided or MOD yours?

Can you provide a link to post.asp (as a .txt file)?

Your post.asp worked fine on my machine.

Can you check your Db to make sure that there is a SMILES and SMILES2 table?

Here is pop_new_smiles.asp... not sure why that would cause an error though.
