if you're interested, I've ported the guts of smiley manger to work with 3.4. I couldn't find this done anywhere, so I just did it since modding this board is so easy.
The original does not make use of standard snitz styling and explicit use of response.writes. I didn't care, so I left it how it was.
Here's the zip with one of my favorite emoticon included.
