Apologies if this is actually a 'mod' question, rather than a 'Current Version' question.

Basically, I just want to include a section of the most recent post on my site's homepage. I assume to do that, I would need to use some form of 'include' although I'm a bit clueless on the technical aspects. It would also be handy to include a clip of the most recent post at the top of the forums table on default.asp (which I assume would be easier, but need the same techniques...).

Basically, it would just need to include a link to the thread/topic itself, the thread/topic name, and the first, say, 250 characters of the response...

I'm using 3.4.01 on SQL, without any problems (love your work ).

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Simon

There are a couple mods for this, though I'm not too sure about it. Have a look at the Slash mod (I think this is one of them) at Snitz Exchange. It's for 3.3.x, but you can have a look at the code to find how they do it.

Thanks Ruirib!

The syndication mod doesn't seem to work in 3.4.01 yet, but i've got the Slash Mod now, and as soon as I get some spare time, I'll give it a crack.

Cheers,
Simon
