Apologies if this is actually a 'mod' question, rather than a 'Current Version' question.
Basically, I just want to include a section of the most recent post on my site's homepage. I assume to do that, I would need to use some form of 'include' although I'm a bit clueless on the technical aspects. It would also be handy to include a clip of the most recent post at the top of the forums table on default.asp (which I assume would be easier, but need the same techniques...).
Basically, it would just need to include a link to the thread/topic itself, the thread/topic name, and the first, say, 250 characters of the response...
I'm using 3.4.01 on SQL, without any problems (love your work ).
Any suggestions gratefully received!

There are a couple mods for this, though I'm not too sure about it. Have a look at the Slash mod (I think this is one of them) at Snitz Exchange. It's for 3.3.x, but you can have a look at the code to find how they do it. |

Thanks Ruirib!
The syndication mod doesn't seem to work in 3.4.01 yet, but i've got the Slash Mod now, and as soon as I get some spare time, I'll give it a crack.
Cheers, Simon |
