I guess just sign up an account- leave the MSN option blank- send a PM to yourself- read it (privateread.asp) and see the fault !

The link is in the first post on this topic. I signed in and saw that you do still have the problem but I have continued to test on my own forum and still can't duplicate your problem. Can you post a link to your code?

One thing that is clear is that you have not used the file I uploaded.

1. I redid all the database queries and the old ones are still in your file.

2. Your still reads if (strMSN <> "") then
and if you look above the fix clearly says if (strMMSN <> " ") then

So obviously yours is not fixed if you have not applied my fixed code.

Hmmm..... I just changed that and it worked !
But, how come when I uploaded your privateread.asp from the new zip file the error was still there ?
You sure its saved properly in the zip file- thats why I asked if I had the right link to it !

Try clearing your internet cache and download again.

@tomic your instructions say:

Find following: (about line 513)
rM_YAHOO = 5

Add the following directly below on line 514: 
rM_PM = 6


Shouldn't the numbers that follow be adjusted accordingly?



And the bottom of your html readme says
"Universal Login version 3.4 Readme -- Best viewed in Internet Explorer 5+ or Mozilla 1+"

Hmmmm, I think I see what's up. I added that query to inc_header.asp that displays the total "new" PMs and that was selected as pmcount which is what's used to block the links to send or forward or reply. So now I am adding a query to the necessary pages which will get the total of all PMs. New PMs will usually be a much, much smaller number than the total. There was another irregularity with the warning text if the limit is surpassed. That is now fixed as well. It's not updated in the zip yet until I check out the results.
