at first site I thought COOL! but then I got a little confused later when I saw joe's post count in this thread:
http://66.176.219.201/forumbeta/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3
how can joe post 8 of 10 at 08/19/2001 : 20:24:30 and then post 2 of 10 at 08/19/2002 : 00:01:02? |

Thats because, those were testing posts. I forgot to redo the DB after I got it all working. I deleted the forums and created new ones so that it looks the way it should.
I had changed the dates in the DB so that I could archive the posts and test it.
You're a sharp one, Dayve |

Found the offending code. The new version had a non_breaking space that I forgot to change in the zip and the line number was wrong. I also didn't include search.asp in the zip, I'll fix that later tonight.
Here is the fix-
Line 357:
Response.Write " " & getCurrentIcon.....& " Search Results for: All non-archived Topics that contain posts by " & getMemberName(cLng(Request.QueryString("MEMBER_ID"))) Response.Write " " & getCurrentIcon.....& " Search Results for: All non-archived Topics that contain posts by " & getMemberName(cLng(Request.QueryString("MEMBER_ID"))) |

if I was truly sharp I would have asked you if that was just test data
thanks, I will check out the entire mod later, I have decided to stick with 3.3.05 and will use 3.4.x on future projects. I just don't have the time to upgrade mine |

well since I finally went to 3.4 I decided to make this one of the top mods I install. Just got done, without a hitch (although the array thing can confuse members if they don't comprehend what is going on, especially if they have other mods installed). Anyway, everything works as advertised but I don't see what the changes in Search.asp do? I thought you were building an option to actually search on the post id by member? |
