If you use UltraEdit (GREAT product !), you can do a side-by-side, colour coded comparison of two files; display line numbers; colour your ASP syntax to your tastes; blah blah blah. Snitz and UltraEdit ... two of the best products on the planet !!!
.. not to mention Sony and Canon hardware |

If you have Visual Studio, there's a tool called WinDiff, which is very good for comparing directories of source code side by side. There is also an excellent front end for it called RunWinDiff, which I can recommend (http://www.codeproject.com/tools/runwindiff.asp).
I have also heard good reports on Beyond Compare, which is another side-by-side file comparison tool. http://www.scootersoftware.com/ |

I haven't tried Beyond Compare, I keep meaning to. I use WinDiff because it's "free" (well, in as far as my Visual Studio was paid for by my employer )
I've just taken a look at Beyond Compare and I see it's only $30, so I might well give it a try.
<edit>Well, I've downloaded it and given it a thorough workout (5 minutes worth ) and I can confirm what Huw says, it certainly looks a lot better than WinDiff.</edit> |
