Thanks Aaron for nicely tying the two posts together. I downloaded the new update for HotKeys 3.3.X from the other link. I appreciate your help a lot.
Sincerely yours,

Updated the ZIP. The only file changed was pop_hotkey_edit.asp.
Made minor code improvements for security.

Since it is a security issue, does this update apply to all of your HotKeys MOD versions?
In addition, you originally started out with just the "HotKeys MOD". In the most recent posts of your first thread about the "HotKeys MOD" I think I read that you had updated the original download link and changed the files from being just the original "HotKeys MOD" to "HotKeys MOD 3.3.X", so now that means that the original "HotKeys MOD" is no longer available publicly, right?
Since there seems to be three versions, does this mean you are updating all three with the fixes or just v3.3.X and v3.4.X? I just want to know how I should classify the original "HotKeys MOD". I think it functions well as purposed. The v3.3.X seems to be an enhancement, and v3.4.X seems to be an upgrade.
Don't let me confuse you here! LOL!
Thanks again for all the hard work.

There are now two versions:
HotKeys 3.3 HotKeys 3.4
The 3.3 version replaced the original HotKeys ZIP. The original works fine except it does not support the use of single and double quotes.
It is an easy install so I would recommend everyone move to the new 3.3 version.
There has been no reported issues with the security of HotKeys... but I am trying to be proactive in all the MODs I build.

I've just tried your latest release of the hotkeys mod.
If I put a ' in one of the fields and save it, it gets converted into ''
You don't need the chkstring( in lines 57-58 of pop_hotkey_edit.asp
Another thing it might be nice to add is some vay to identify the releases you have made so that people can make sure that the have the newest release. A couple of suggestions are to have a "build number" or a release date (yyyymmdd) included in the files.
Also, why do you include the Snitz copyright info in your files? I would have thought that you would only need to include your own copyright in fields that you created. |

The chkstring was the part that introduced the bug.
The ZIP has been updated. The code is marked 3.4.01.
Thanks!
