I have it for 3.3 and it worked great on 3.3 on windows with access when I hosted it myself. I had to switch to a host with linux with Chili!ASP and mysql. I ran into many problems with the switch and seen that sitx 3.4 had a few good things added and decided to start over. However I really do need to do what was gettng done with the Content Display Mod.
Can anyone tell me if there is another way or if this mod will be updated.
Thanks, Bob |

I will do what I can. It's one of my favorite MODs but it won't be easy. When you get to the part where you need to hide forums or allow certain members it can be a bit difficult. I believe I have already converted it to Response.Write so that should help a little bit.
Who knows, maybe Rob Poretti will return and take care of it.

@tomic, Does your version work with Access or just SQL? I remember when we were troubleshooting for this mod, I was one that was using Access and helped get it to work for that db. Does your version work with Access without any tweaking (as far as you know)? |

The 3.1R4 version works great but the 3.3 version never did work right.

So is that the only way to get topics to be displayed on another page?

If you know a little ASP, you might be able to do it yourself.
My home page shows the last 10 active topics, and some other pieces from the forums... and the Headlines sections shows only the topics that I have assigned to be in the spotlight.

I haven't had a chance to work on it today and if you've seen how much code there is that needs working on you know it will take a while. I haven't even started on the editor for the admin area but then I never used that myself. I think it will be worth the wait if it's done right and be assured that I will be able to get it working right. It's looking real good but there is a LOT of work involved.

There is one good piece of news. All of the display modes are working but I am worried that there will be a problem with displaying private forums. That was a big problem in the last release I saw.
I think it would be cool if people thought of coming up with custome display modes. You could do a whole lot with this MOD and the way it's set up, if you make a display mode which is not all that hard it can just plug into Display Content MOD. Really, the skies the limit. It would make a pretty good article or news MOD. Just make a news display mode and there you go.

What version are you developing from Atomic? - I have one, that I think wasn´t ever released, but which fetaures a level more, namely category view - meaning that you can use the mod to display category listings in templates also. If you want me to, I can mail you this latest version to take a look at - also I think it is MySQL compatible. |

Sure, go ahead and send it to me at. I'll see what I can use from it. I have finally converted the old version to response.write and have converted almost all of the images to getCurrentIcon. There's just a little more to do before doing some real testing.
