further update on the calendar, I will NOT be releasing it for 3.4 since half a dozen other people are going to be releasing it. |

You know...I found a site that shows how to do the vbscipt highlighting. I might do that for laughs and giggles.

it is not difficult, just not a very good use of server resources, string parsing and manipulation are quite costly asp functions, so you should restrict its use carefully. |

Yes, and it would only be useful on a handful of sites which probably makes it not worth the time.

This seems to be a good place for this request since it is a MOD of its own to some extent.
I saw wii's "Free ASP Hosts" web site. I like the concept especially since where to find a free ASP host seems to be a common question.
Is it even remotely possible that someone would be interested in creating a similar site with it's own forum and call it something to the tune of "Snitz MOD Builders Guild"? Of course, that's just for reference, but I think there is a legitimate need for such a community.
If I was more saavy at creating MODs I would start it, but I don't feel as though I should lead something I know so little about. However, I think such a community would be a strong asset for the Snitz community. Its forum could neatly categorize all MOD activities from creation, to updates, to upgrades, to documentation, on and on and on ...
Are there any takers for this "MOD" Project?
If there are, could someone please start a new topic stating your plans and what you would like to do? I don't want this current thread to be diverted by my proposal. I just wanted to bring it up as a suggestion for a place for MOD builders and users alike to share their MODs and other ideas.
Please continue with the original thread. Thanks for your time!
Sincerely yours,
Etymon

I had actually talked to some folks about this a while back.
I thought it would be neat to have private forums for teams of MOD builders... so they could interact and discuss code.
Maybe even a MOD Seal of Approval.

Would you like to start a new topic on this and then post a link here to that topic? This would keep this current topic on track. Thanks for your input, Aaron. |

There are plenty of collaboration tools out there. Has anyone tried Groove? I just installed that and think it's very interesting. Besides that there are tons of messengers out there.
A MOD seal of approval will just deter MOD writers.

Alex042,
Looks to me that all mods whose functionality that has been integrated in 3.4 should have their status changed in your post:
Approve Registrations (Included in 3.4) Show Member Password (Impossible to do in 3.4) Signature Preview (Included in 3.4)
|
Snitz 3.4 Readme | Like the support? Support Snitz too |

What about Content Display Editor and Posting Restrictions? Will they be upgraded to the new forum code? I hope so... |
