Hi,
I just started using the snitzforum v3.3.0.5, which is great btw. After installing a few mods without any problems, like the ban ip, and forumpoll, i came across active users 4.0. Great mod!! Excellent even, but there's one thing that doesn't seem to work. At least, not on my forum. The 'active user record', and 'record set on' always show 0. I'm sure at least one person has logged in... me . Strangely enough, I do not get any error messages. It does show which users are online, so i'm a bit lost here... I've searched through the 'Help: Mod Implementation', but couldn't find a topic that had this problem before. And if it does, I totally missed it, and i would be happy with a link then.
If someone has any idea, please let me know !!

The number is 40_1. A slight modification: the 'record set on' doesn't show 0, it doesn't show anything at all. It's empty. Sorry 'bout that... |

Ok, I fixed a bug in that one. Then I foolishly reuploaded it yesterday without changing the number.
So, my first suggestion would be to redownload it, and find the code that gets inserted into inc_functions.asp, and replace the old with the new. Nothing else was changed.
Let me know if it works then or not. |

I'm sorry to say nothing changed... I did like you said... I redownloaded it, made the changes, and uploaded it to my host. Then I logged in, checked if anything had changed, but unfortunately it didn't.
btw, it was still 40_1. Out of your reply I get the impression that it should be 40_2? I downloaded it from http://ls3k.com/snitz/mods.asp ,so that is the right location, isn't it?
In the readme.html there's one thing that didn't seem right... At the inc_functions part, there are two changes. One is around line 1422, and the second one is also around line 1422 ! In my case, the second one: function StrToDate(strDateTime), is at line 660... I replaced the lines there. Could that be it? I couldn't find another StrToDate function in the file.
If you can think of anything else, please let me know.

Nathan, I a in the process of installing the Active Users mod now and I noticed two errors in your instructions for 3.4 installation.
1) For the changes to pop_config_help.asp, it says to put the additional code after the "end select" stament. Shouldn't that be before that statement?
2) The next bit says to add code to inc_functions.asp, yet in 3.4 there is no inc_functions.asp so which of the numerous does it go into?
Please help as I would like to get it installed quickly if possible...
thanks in advance |

heheh... I figured that out, just as you finished posting...
I went through them one at a time until I found the right block of code to paste above... |

Yes, before the end select statement.

I can use the forums if I have Active Users disabled, but no combination of features allows it to work.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated... |

Can I get a login? Email it to me if you want. Also, make it admin if you can so I can see the actual error (I'm assuming you have AU turned off right now and I'll need to turn it on to see it). |
