I have a bit of a problem. I recently decided to implement more asp into my site, making a portal of sorts, where you could login to the site (which would automatically login to the forum as well), and add options to submit articles and news on the news page. Unfortunately, it seems my domain host doesn't support asp as I was told they did, but I have an existing forum being hosted on a different site.
Without having my news page and half my site on a different host, is there any possible way to create a portal of sorts for the main site that could be implemented with snitz to have the same login? Is it possible for the database to be shared with th asp and the php (or cgi depending on what works).
I would definately appreciate some insight to the possibilities from you asp guru's. |

Also on a quick note, my domain host says I do have Apache ASP, but I can't get it to work. And I just wondered if there is a special folder you should put it in on a domain host. Right now everything is in httpdocs, but there are other folders like bin, cgi-bin, and stuff. Should the asp go in one of those? And if so how do I access them from a browser? |

Apache ASP doesn't run Snitz, afaik it doesn't support VBScript which is the script language for 99% of the Snitz code.
ChiliSoft is the only unix asp I know that works. You can't use an Access DB with a unix box, MySQL is the usual DB choice.
