Well, this is a subject for discussion. I wouldn't want to be downloading SF2000 in 2009 any more that I want to run Windows 95 in 2002

why think of the "2000" part as a year? I don't think of it as a year, just part of the name of the forum.

...and the "95" in Windows is a kind of version number. Did you hear Windows 95 v3.4 or similar (except SPn, where n can gp to infinity )?

Probably because the 2000 was injected into the Snitz name right around (you guessed it) 2000! (April 2000 iirc)
