I just received this email from their tech support. Pretty fast :)

Thank you for contacting Addr.com Technical Support.

I understand you would like to place a database forum in your
website.

Our servers support MySQL databases.

MySQL databases come free with the Gold account. Since you have a
Silver
account you could either upgrade to a Gold account, which comes for
$14.95/month, or purchase a MySQL database, which costs $5/month.

I suggest you upgrade to Gold as you have access to additional
benefits
like MIVA Order/Merchant (an e-commerce suite), SSL certificate,
additional POP boxes etc.

So, I don't know if I can use SNITZ on my site as it is now or not?

It appears your site already has a message board? Why do you need another one? Also, this ISP says they have a message board you could use - wwwboard. Have you explored that?

Looking at the ISP, it doesn't look like they support ASP. If you're committed to that route, I found a good, and cheap, ISP recently for ASP only stuff. Otherwise, I'd suggest using the wwwboard they offer, or checking out a php-based open source discussion, such as phpBoard (there are a couple others, too). This ISP says they do support PHP.

What's the ISP URL?

There is so much technology, that it couldn't possibly be listed in one quick table. If you are looking for something and it's not on the list, please contact us. Chances are we support it as well.

So..maybe they do..I guess I will have to wait till they reply. Unless you can think of something else, maybe?

Yes bax I have looked at the board they offer. It is a really simple threaded message board with ZERO attractiveness :)
I wish I could get snitz to work on my site. I just don't have the technical knowledge to make it happen.

With this ISP, you're not going to be able to get snitz to work. If you want to stay with this ISP, you need a php-based solution, or jsp (they offer these scripting solutions).

Check out phpBB (www.phpbb.com), or the cyBoards available with the postNuke system (postnuke.com). If you have other reasons for wanting to stay with ASP (developer knows it, etc), I'd be happy to recommend an ISP.

BTW, if you want an ISP recommendation, please email me direct - I have to go now, and will likely forget to check in on this thread tomorrow.

I emailed them. They do NOT support ASP.

Hello Bryan,

Thank you for contacting Addr.com Technical Support.

I regret to inform you that we do not support ASP, however, we support JSP.

Please feel free to contact us for any assistance.

If I upgrade like the tech support suggested (see above post), would that allow me to use snitz?
Thanks crash!

Maddie:

I thought my earlier message made it clear - your ISP does not support ASP. Snitz runs using ASP. It will not work. Check out one of the php-based I recommended, use the one the ISP offers, or switch ISPs.
