Is it possible to migrate threads from ezboard to snitz?

I know that there are applications to perform this task for other BBS types but I can't find anything about it here.

theres no way that I know of to actually get the data from ezboard they do not provide you with the files in anyway.

So the answer is basically no I'm afraid.

Oh OK.

I asked because there is an application to migrate threads from ezboards to php.

But if there isn't for snitz, then fair enough. I will have to find another way.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Do you have a link for the one to convert to php ? it may be using some sort of "asptear" type appliation to rip the data from ezboard.

If you can post a link I can take a look and see how hard it would be to do for Snitz.

Here it is. It's down the page a bit, under 'Forum Converters'.

Thanks again, it would make a particular job I have to do much easier.

I had a chance to take a quick look at it, it does use a "screen scraper" type approach to getting the data from ezboard. This does have quite a few downfalls and would I suspect be unlikely to work 100%, for instance only members that have posted can be imported, passwords need to be reassigned to all members etc etc.

Personally I think you'd be better off starting your new forum off clean and just leaving the old ezboard there for people who wish to see older posts. Of course I don't know what sort of content your ezboard forums conatin so I may be way off base there.

I'm gong to try running it on a forum shortly to see how well it actually works importing to phpbb
