Hello,
i have a strange Problem with my events Calendar showing on default.asp. I have "hardcoded" translated this Mod into German and up to now it seems to work fine. But i figured out a problem now with the Date-Format. If i click i.e. on the "11. August 2002" it opens the events.asp with the wrong date of 08. November 2002. I think the Problem is the Difference between the US- and the German-Date-format. In US-Format the Date is 08/11/2002 but in German it is 11.08.2002 so i get to the wrong Day. But the strange thing is: When i click on "13. August 2002" it opens the right Day in events.asp !! I don't really understand what's going on there..... Perhaps you can take a look at this: http://users.domaindlx.com/twin/default.asp What will i have to change in events_inc.asp to get this fixed ??
Thanks in advance !!

Ok, i just fixed it myself. In events_inc.asp i had to change the following line:
dToday = CDate(intintThisMonth & "/" & intPrintDay & "/" & intThisYear)
to this:
dToday = CDate(intPrintDay & "/" & intThisMonth & "/" & intThisYear)
I know it's not a nice Fix, but it worked for me :-)

I put a lot of time on fixing the Date and other Errors in Events Calendar. I ended up changing and modifying almost everypart of it. I did plan to release the modified version but never managed to make a package. I will try to package it but no promises on how soon.

The following post fixed the same problem for me:
quote:
The date swap is occuring due to the following statement in events.asp
myQsDate = intThisMonth & "/1/" & intThisYear
Change it as below
myQsDate = "1/" & intThisMonth & "/" & intThisYear
That should fix it.

After reading many many Topics and spending a lot of time to fix the Date-Problem in Event Calendar-Mod, i'm getting sick of that. Some Topics are older than 1 Year and up to now there is no real Solution for that. For me, Snitz-Forums is a really good Thing but forget it when you want to use some MODs for non-US....... The Internationalization of Kirgy is pretty good but he seems to have given up this work. In his Forum there is nothing going on anymore..
It cannot be that everyone here use his own Code to fix the Problem. There must be one Solution for ALL !!
GauravBhabu, we are all looking hopefully at you now. Maybe you are the one that can solve our Problems with ONE Solution for ALL :-)

The solutions posted in those topics work, I've used them myself and have no problem running snitz or any of the forum mods on a NZ server here which uses UK date formats. The first link I gave you even had a link to download the "international" version of the Calendar mod (though I didn't check to see if the link was still active) that worked perfectly for me straight away.
Is it possible that some of the changes you've made to try and fix it earlier are whats actually now causing the problem ?

Thank you Gremlin,
that is not only possible, that's it !! :-) And there is the Problem. In this first Topic there are so many little Changes in some Files so that nobody knows anymore what changes fits to his needs or if they will work with other changes, he made before. I cannot just replace any Files because i have changed too much things for my needs and if i do so, there will be 2-5 other things that won't work anymore.
Nevertheless i will download the Files and try them. What have i to loose ??

Ok, it seems to work now !! I HOPE so !!
Gremlin, as you assumed (and i confirmed), my old, 100times edited Files did not work with the Non-US Patch of Kattan. I tried this one weeks ago. But now with the replaced original inc_functions.asp, events_inc.asp and events.asp this Patch works !!
But as i said before, all of my Changes and Translatings were for nothing. I had to do that all again, and i hope i didn't forget anything.
Maybe you could take a look: http://users.domaindlx.com/twin/default.asp
If you find any Errors you can keep them or better post here.
For now i'm fed up with this......
Thank you for your Help !!!!!

Sorry it turned out to be such a hassle, but I'm glad everything seems to be working fine for you now.
