My guess is that its not Version 3.0, because it doesn't have the "Rooms" feature that V3.0 does.

I wonder how much modification it would take.....Guys?

Link is back up for the chat mod. Please be advised It's a little tricky to get this to work
and I still have trouble with it. Also this mod runs on a Global.asa file.

I believe applets don't rely on the refresh to update information. There are a ton of them out there but I wouldn't know how to integrate them with the forum, though. That's why we are doing asp versions. For easy integration into the forum.

I don't think the chat mod here and the one I'm working on are not meant to be your primary means of chatting between friends. Just a quick place to do some minor chats. The refresh is annoying, I do agree and will try to minimize it's negative appearance as much as possible.

I'm working on one that doesn't use any entries to the global.asa file. Don't know if this is good or bad.

There is some javascript that can accomplish this.

Example:
<BODY OnLoad="document.nameform.nametext.focus();">

Where nameform is the name of the form and nametext is the name of the textbox on the form.

Example:

	formname.textname.focus();
</script>
which goes right after the closing form tag and form name is the name of the form and textname is the name of the text box on the form.

Hi Guys
Just found your chat mod and am trying to install it.
Running chat_setup.asp comes up with and error - can't find config.asp
Have checked the zip file and it does not appear to exist.
Any clues

Hi,

I have integrated my ASP chat application called CoolCafé with Snitz Forum v3.1 Service Release 4. The integration lets you initialize the CoolCafé database from your Snitz database, keep the databases synchronized and add a link to let logged in user get in the chat without having to log twice.
