I was just wondering if there is a way for you to specify a different size for avatars (ie. 100x15). I want to specificy a different size for avatars because im using the avatar mod on my forum for "name tags" instead of animated images such as taz, or tweetie bird, or whatever.

so larger avatars do not throw your forum out of whack.

Dayve how does that answer my question? I just need to know if there is a way to add a size of 100 x 15 to the avatar mod, and if so, how do i do it.

the context of your question led me to believe if there was a reason to do this, not why...

anyway, I would imagine it is very possible to do this, but I am not using the standard avatar mod. I thought there was a table for defining sizes of avatars but it was a global change meaning all your avatars would have to use the same dimensions.

I think you would have a better experience if you used the upload avatar mod because it uses a dynamic resizing/proportioning function.

Yes thats what i was going for, where the size change would be global and all avatars would use it.. Thanx anyways but i got it. Just had to create a new size in admin_avatar_settings.asp
