I'm thinking about adding this mod to my site but before I do, I have a couple questions:
Is the mod optional? i.e. once installed can it be switched on or off on choice?
Does the mod work on all platforms? If it doesn't work on Netscape, will it affect the display at all? There aren't many Netscape users around these days but I still don't want to alienate anybody!
Thanks.

That mod would use javascript I guess, so not all browsers would implement it, like old versions of netscape, but it should not cause adverse effects, they would just not see the hover colour.
EDIT - looking at the instructions it does not look like it can be turned off, but I only had a quick glance
No matter how fast light travels it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it. http://www.ian-hamlin.co.uk ™

Well, which one will satisfy all my requirements above? I'm still 50/50 about adding it anyway so if I do go to the trouble, i'd like to be able to switch it off in case my members don't like it.
Oh, and I know mods can be uninstalled!

both will satisfy your needs to a certain extend.
my mod has the option of setting the colours on the admin pages, whereas frutzle's does not.
my mod is harder to implement than frutzle's...
both versions have their advantages and disadvantages... oh, and both mods cannot be turned off that easily. you will need to 'uncode' them...
