Based on the ASPChatWorx but heavy modified (to reconnect, etc...).
Great stability, good for less than 20 users.
Available at http://www.herve.biz/snitz/ASPChatWorX_mod.zip
Great use of it (it's the most non-IRC stable I have found in the 2 last years).

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8'
Object required: 'Application.StaticObjects.Item(...)'
/Snitz/inc_top.asp, line 418
Your mod is the first mod I have attempted to install on a clean version of snitz / access 2000 database.
If you could help me out I would appreciate it.

It's a problem with the global.asa.
Try to move or copy it in your forum directory

I made a live chat mod for my forum using flash. this is by far, imo, the best way to power a non-irc chat interface. if you have flash 5+ (maybe 4 too) you can use the loadvariables(...) function to get chat messages dynamically while the swf is playing (all in the background of the flash player, no new windows needed).
using flash you dont have to worry about people having their ie set to 'click' on page reloads or having their screen flicker. also its easy to add sound etc to new messsages, joins, etc. you can have higher update rates because of this too.
here's a couple of screenies

if anyone is interested in it let me know. maybe i'll genericize it and give it out when i get the chance.

not bad and certainly of interest. Am curious to see what the administrative powers are as far as banning, kick etc.
