I am Using Conquer chat, great chat system can be found
at www.theill.com and is easily addable to the snitz forum.
I was wondering if anyone has tried to make it possible to lock a room in a chat environment? i'm trying to figure this out and could use a hand, i also have on my site runnin (but not displayed anymore) Dream chat, and Snitzzy chat, got both working with multi rooms, so if anyone can lend me some idea's i'd be gratefull.

What exactly do you mean? To stop all chatroom messages? I'm not sure I've seen that feature in any chatroom I've played with yet.

Sorry for my english, but yes mfennell is right,
I would like to lock a room, we have currently 5 seperate departmental rooms, one main, and 2 creatable. i would like to make all rooms except the main lockable.
i have the roomid's and was thinking i could do it with a select list of number 1- 10 and then use this number as the max number of people allowed.
please any help would be great, i can figure it out if anyone can just point the way.

There are some chatrooms that allow you to setup max users per room. Have you tried http://www.coolcafe.ca ? Their chatroom is based on conquerchat with a few extra features. I believe the max users per room would apply to all rooms however.

Thanks for the suggestion, I saw ths site and chat now, it's refresh is kind of funky, i'm more impressed with the conquer. allthough, their idea of passwords was good. I was thinking is it possible to put a check box that would either activate a simple js password prompt(was thinking only for hte add room function) to let into a room?
