I was thinking..... instead of having a Country drop-down box, how easy would it be for someone to write a mod to instead just have a "Location" input box where users can put in any text they want? This is how vBulletin does it and I must say I prefer that more. Ideas? Comments? Suggestions?

you would just remove the SELECT form element that has the countries listed in it and replace with with an INPUT form element where one can enter their location.
