I have only been running snitz for a short time. I reinstalled the forums and overwrote all my files except my config.asp file which I modified. I can forward and email out of snitz without a problem. when a new user signs up it goes through the process of saying it emailed out, but the user never gets the email. I am running on a win 2k server and IIS 5. MY email functions are all turned on in snitz. Here is a link to my register.txt file. If anyone could be of any help I would greatly apperciate it.

if you need any other .asp -> .txt files lemme know and I'll make a copy to them.
Thanks in advance,

No I didn't.
I am away from my computer at the moment so I can't help you right now. But one thing I want you to check is, does it send out an email when you have turned off the Email Validation mod in your admin options?

Davio,
No that doesn't seem to work either. Since I can forward messages, etc just fine that I would think means that my exchange 2000 server is setup correct....right?
Thanks,
Jay

!!PROBLEM SOLVED !!
Okay, like said before I could forward a subject out to an email account and it would be received, but the email val. wouldn't work. I have IIS 5 running on win 2k. I tried everything from cdnots, etc. installing all the different programs. The answer was staring me right in the face. RELAYING NOT ALLOWED ON MY SMTP SERVER. Yes it would allow forwarding for a topic, but not email valid. I don't have a clue at why, and really don't care now. This is how I fixed my problem.
First setup the admin email address for your domain to your user this way bad email isn't getting tossed in the "bad mail" directory. Then configure SMTP server to allow relaying from only that email address. This way you keep spammers from using your server. Oh and setup Snitz for cdnots.
Just wanted to let everyone know how I got it to work. Maybe it will help ya out too.
BTW a big thanxs to Davio.
Jay
