V3.4.03 multilanguage with skins
This is a prevue, see skin exemples under select language. It is still under construction (skins have to be added to some pages) but it is coming along real nice.
I absolutely not advise to use v4b02 in production environments. Actually only v4b03patch004 is secure enough for any purpose. This is of course somebody decites to use a beta in production environment. We will neither be in position to support upgrading from previous v4betas, nor will we support v4b03.x after v4b04 is out.
Did you transformed the MODs you name for use for v4 in multiple languages? This can be very interesting !
Hi bozden I have been using v4b02 since july 2001 and only a few times did I get error messages on my free server and these few errors were unimportant. On my personal web server(PWS) I never had any problem. You know I would not have use v4b02 for months with all the changes I have made on the struture if I had got any problem.
Yes, about the MODS, I made all the transformations myself so they will work in multilanguage for all the sections that members use but no transformation were made for the administrator sections, these were all left in english, because at that time the work was done for my personnal use
It can be the case that it seems to work for you, but there are a lot of security, v3.3.x related and v4b02 related bugs. I don't want it to spread too much. That version is also NOT SUPPORTED ANYMORE. After some months also v4b03 will be left unsupported because we will work towards v4bfinal after v4b04 is out.
It looks pretty, but it is so annoying that you need to log on to the system (a beta system at that) to download and play with what you have done. This I have a problem with. Why do you need people to log in to get the download?
It is almost as bad as having to pay to download other peoples mods that the person wants payment for that they clearly have not created themselves as I have not only seen in the past, but even today (not in your case). And that is without putting them in to a forum already. Just a straight mod. I do not have problem with paying for peoples work, but I do when other people try to make money from other peoples creations without their permission.
I would not use version 4 betas for production for the security side of it.
Classicmotorcycling All the forum that I have seen, except for the original Snitz Forums 2000 and Snitz Exchange, require login to access library files and to download.
I imagine on reason might be to be able to chat with the downloader.
I feel that loging also gives access to many features and options of the forum for members that help many novices in their debut(that is not your case, I think).
anyone have a version 3.3.0.5 with mods already installed for download? My site just got taken down by hackers, and i'm kinda in a rush to get it back up. Otherwise i'd normally have time to install all the mods myself
something with: Polls Private messages, pm user pager email validation active users ban mods quick reply HTML newsletter More Smilies mod reply with quote mod and anymore that you would be willing to install would be great! As many mods as get installed, the better. if you could help me out, that would be much appreciated. Those would be nice if anyone has anything like this.
Rob's Content Display MOD looks like (the only) and best Snitz Content Management solution, but unfortunately I found it almost impossible to install, that's why I'm trying to see if anyone has a modded forum.
