Can some please help.
I would like to know why I get this errror message when I try to go to the forum page from the setup forum page, although it say that the setup page is complete in setup.asp
Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Operation must use an updateable query.
/schnitzforum/inc_functions.asp, line 716

Also can my DB be converted to Access 2000, if so how for can this be done for the setup page to work.

thanks
Mike

Your database needs to be in a directory that has read/write permissions. Your hosting provider may have a folder setup for this, or if you're using FrontPage, it should setup an fpdb folder when you import the database into the website.

Don't use Frontpage with the forums as it messes up the code.

Ask your host to sort out read / write / modify permissions on your database & directory.

Get them to ensure that IUSR_<<machinename>> has full read/write capabilities on the directory and the database.

Right click on the missing image and look at the properties to see the path the forum is taking to look for the images - make sure the images are in that path.

???

Copy and paste the path from the properties of the missing image into a browser and see if they come up.
