Hi,
This is probably my fault, but i cant get the random e-mail mod to update my database.
i am running snitz 3.3.03n a win2k server with access2000 and aspemail.

i downloaded the zip, extracted all of the asp pages to the forums directory. i then changed the config.asp back to access, and ran the "mod setup"
here is the results:
Adding new records..
INSERT INTO FORUM_CONFIG_NEW (C_VARIABLE,C_VALUE) VALUES ('STRRNDPASSWORD','0')
-2147467259 | The changes you requested to the table were not successful because they would create duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship. Change the data in the field or fields that contain duplicate data, remove the index, or redefine the index to permit duplicate entries and try again.

Unable to remove dbs file
Permission denied

please help - Jim

It means that the random password variable is already found in your database.

Hi,

Can you help me please. I extracted the random email MOD. Should I upload to forum directory even tho there are existing files with the same file names? There's already config.asp, register.asp, and inc_profile in there. If I upload the random email MOD will it
overwrite the previous files?

Thanks

Sol

Also, why is it that I can't seem to get forum replies emailed to the users?

I have turned on the email config, set the mail server, now what?

Thanks

Sol

When installing mods, the best thing to do is copy and paste the code into your forum files.

Yes it will. That's why the preffered way is it to copy and paste the code into your forum files.
