Well it seems that the <b>inbox.jpg</b> graphic was left out.
Here it is: <img src="http://www11.ewebcity.com/dssdbs/files/inbox.jpg" border=0>
If you have already downloaded this mod, just right click the above image and choose save as to save it to your computer and then upload it to your forum.
If you haven't downloaded this mod yet, I updated the above .zip files (and changed the graphic name from inbox.jpg to pminbox.jpg)(and I also modified pm_view.asp so that it will look for pminbox.jpg instead of inbox.jpg). |

it works but imho there is a missing feature and some questions
1. after if i got to the memberlist and i click on the name, there a no behaviour like withe the smilies, that means that the member name is not pasted to the "mail to" field. 2. it's not clear why some members have more and other have no "post message" icons. 3. After i made the changes with the topic.asp, eith the tutorial from this topic there is no change. 4. the site with the private message table has no contect to the forum color management they need two color changes:
edit pm_view.asp from: <td align="center" bgcolor="<% =<font color=red>CColor</font id=red> %>"><input type=checkbox name="DELETE" value="<% =rsMessage("M_ID") %>"></td>
to:
<td bgcolor="<% =<font color=red>strForumCellColor</font id=red> %>" colspan="5" align="right"> <input type=submit value="Delete Checked Items"></form>
and from:
td bgcolor="<% =<font color=red>CColor</font id=red> %>" colspan="5" align="left"> <p><font face="<% =strDefaultFontFace %>" size="<% =strFooterFontSize %>"> <img alt="Message has not been read" src="icon_folder_new.gif" width="15" height="15"> Message has not been read.<br> <img alt="Message has been read" src="icon_folder.gif" width="15" height="15"> Message has been read. </font></p>
to
<td bbgcolor="<% =<font color=red>strPageBGColor</font id=red> %>" colspan="5" align="left"> <p><font face="<% =strDefaultFontFace %>" size="<% =strFooterFontSize %>"> <img alt="New Message" src="icon_folder_new.gif" width="15" height="15"> New Message<br> <img alt="Old Message" src="icon_folder.gif" width="15" height="15"> Old Message </font></p>

Two things I notice: 1. If I log out from pm_view.asp it says I have logged out, then redirects to a message saying I need to be logged in to view private messages. Would it be better in this instance to redirect to the home page? If so, where and how would one change it to detect that the logout had come from pm_view? Brief instructions may suffice as I'm fairly proficient in ASP. 2. The Outbox doesn't seem to work after I discovered the Preference and turned on the one-page option - haven't tried the other options

Richard i think you are missing some lines from topic.asp readme that you posted. When i applied the changes like you stated - it didnt. Nothing happens?? No pm icon. Any ideas??

# 160 and # 280
"uohh look at me, ive got a signature, uohh look at me!" :) |

err ok...
Anyway. Found one more thing wrong. When you get sent a message it arrives, but you dont get a check box beside the message!
under the delete column you get a button saying "Delete Checked Items" , but there isnt a check box <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>. Just that button istead.
Icase you are wondering aswell, there is anoter "Delete Checked Items" button where it should be, below the inbox column
"uohh look at me, ive got a signature, uohh look at me!" :) |

Well that was just plain weird - I added a smiley face from the popup window and next thing you know my message is gone! I noticed it right after I hit Post.
Anyway, I was just trying to say that it worked fine for me. |

Ok sorry for making an unnecessary post, i found the error. However its not my fault!
The post "Frodoger " made was inaccurate (or maybe in was my pasting?) and that messed things up. No need to worry just yet
Thx Again ---------
:)<font color=blue>However i still have this prob with no pm icons</font id=blue>
