to fix the outbox problem:
download this file: http://www1.domaindlx.com/dssdbs/files/pmfix.zip
extract the 3 files and upload them to your forum directory.
run the droppmtable.asp file first. This will delete the FORUM_PM table so you will lose any Private Messages that you have right now.
Next run mod_dbsetup.asp to readd the FORUM_PM table.
That should fix your problem.
CFM-resources seems to be down right now, but when it's up you can download the events.asp I have here: http://richard.cfm-resources.com/v31sr4/events.txt (just right click on the link and choose Save Target As. Then just rename it to events.asp .
the problem with not being able to log out is you probably because the cookie structure changed in the newer version of the forum. Try manually deleting the cookie from within your web browser settings and then log back into your forum. |

Richard,
Thanks soooo much! Everything working just peachy now!
(Now if I could just get that events file ). I'll keep trying. I saw the post where you offered it, but I wasn't sure if it had been removed or if the site was down.
Thanks again for your help!

*sigh* cfm-resources has been down all day. they came back once, but it was slow and I guess they took it off. I thought this new server was supposed to make things better....ever since they installed it's been down more than it has been up. |

jlaw, I agree.
Taking the member sites off of the same server where the www.cfm-resources.com homepage resided was a big mistake. There is less incentive to get the sites back up now. Before, they had to get the server going so that the homepage wouldn't be offline, now, it doesn't seem like it's that much of a priority.
I've been with cfm-resources.com for awhile ( I can remember when there were around 2,000 members, now it's over 11,000). The control panel was promised for the free sites long ago, only when it's finally available, it's only for pay sites. The FAQ has always stated that if you want SQL, just ask. Well I've asked and it's always "coming soon".
cfm-resources.com used to suspend registrations when the sites started bogging down and they couldn't keep up with the demand. They don't do that anymore.
They used to be good. But not anymore. |

I like Websamba, but they don't support that one string that runs the mods.

For y'all that are having problems with being redirected back to the default.asp page when you click on the inbox link, download the following .zip file and use the files to overwrite your current files.
http://www11.ewebcity.com/dssdbs/files/pm4sr4.zip
There was a change in the cookie from when this mod was released.
This info is available in posts that are in this thread.
It didnt solve it!!!! Any other suggestion!? |
