I want to find a comments system for my online journal, but all that I have found so far do not work with my one. I was wondering if anyone knew of any place where I could find the code for some sort of system for visitors to leave their comments, so that there are seperta comment for each post.

Thanks,
ben

Easily. I have done it for the Article MOD I've been working on. But you could do it a lot of ways. Just think "relate commentID to journal entryID"

The link manager does a lot more than that(hits, rating as well as comments) so you might just want to modify that if you want hits and rating to go with comments.

What I did, since I already installed the Link Manager, was added fields to link my articles to the ratings, comments etc. I almost made an entirely new table but since the Link Manager tables did the job I just added on to them.

Ok, so I am a bit slow when it comes to thses things. Thanks for replying. But I'm still not sure how to relate all the different fields and take it out the links and into a journal.

What does the table that has your journal look like and most importantly what is the field that identifies each journal entry?

Each entry is identified by Entry_ID. Theres just one table with Entry_ID, Date, Mood, Entry_Title and Entry_Text.

Do you currently have the Link Manager installed or do you at least have a copy of it?

Actually, with the link manager installed already he's almost got everything in place. What's cool about linking journal comments to the link ratings is that it will integrate into a Snitz site easily.

Could you email me your journal files and the URL of your journal? I think it will be super easy to add the comments.
