That error occurs when you haven't installed the database fields for the poll mod. You need to setup the database fields first using your MOD Setup file.

Thanks for the reply Davio. I did set up the data base and those errors occured after. I even went through the set-up again with the same results. Anyway I gave up on it and deleted all the poll mod files and the Snitz_forums_2000.mbd file and then down-loaded the data-base again. Now I get a new error when trying to veiw a post.
"Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e10'
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Too few parameters. Expected 18.
/cripto9t/forum/topic.asp, line 155"
That's where I'm at now. Did I goof somewhere? I didn't want to delete the mdb file but the forum wouldn't work and starting from scratch was all I could think of.
If and when I get the form working again I would like to have the poll mod and will try to install it again when I get some time.
Thanks again----------Brian. (stressed-out on asp)

Here is an error I am getting with the poll mod. This happens when I try to vote or view poll results.
Error Type: Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A000D) Type mismatch: 'FormatNumber' /forum/topic.asp, line 920
I have double checked everything in topic.asp. Is there somewhere else I should be looking. TIA

imotep, please do a search before posting for help. And if you can't find the fix to your problem, start a new topic. See here for your problem: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=19321#98132
Cripto can you give me admin access to your forum? Also download this file http://kinser.121hosts.net/files/admin_mod_dbsetup2.zip and upload it to your forum folder. That file allows you to enter the database code into a text box instead of storing it into a file and uploading it, and letting the MOD setup read the file.

Thanks Davio but I believe I have it fixed. I updated the db 'before' moderating the files. Was this necessary? It looked like the way to go from reading the first faq in the read me file. Anyway all seems fine except for one thing, I know you can only vote once so I registered as a member too and I'm still not allowed another vote (the results page shows up). I thought maybe this was OK until I read your reply to Toreador today. Right now I haven't had anyone else try it so if someone wants to the URL is http://www30.brinkster.com/cripto9t/forum/default.asp
Davio thanks again----------------Brian.

It's a new day and I see quite a few people have viewed my test poll but nobody has voted. Nobody has replyed here to tell me they can't vote either, so I'm still in the dark on this. I assumed they couldn't so I've tripled checked the code and I don't see any problems.
On members only the vote page shows up but I can't vote again as a different user, so there is still only one vote.
The poll is set for everybody. If you do visit please vote and if you can't vote, please leave a post on this thread so I will know. The polls URL is http://www30.brinkster.com/cripto9t/forum/default.asp
Thanks-------------Brian. (Am I there yet?)

jfields, next time start a new topic if you need help and don't jump in on someone else's topic.
For your Internal server Error, go to your 'Tools', 'Internet Options', 'Advance' options in your browser and uncheck the 'Show friendly HTTP error messages' option. You should get a more detailed error message this time.
