What I am looking for is a way to allow all visitors and members to view only all posts in a forum, and have a selected list of people be able to post to it.
Has anyone seen a mod that will do this? or is there a way to set this up in the current security settings?
I think you need to set it to "Allowed Member List" but NOT "Allowed Member List(Hidden)" and then shove all the people who are allowerd to post to it in the list at the bottom of the forum properties bit.
