Heh, I have been working on one myself for the last week or so. It's almost done. I just need to finish working on the templates and setting up a system for sending articles into the queue for editorial review so articles can be put online and taken offline by the editor.

Well ill be releasing it soon. Please note i didnt write the scripts. I liked the article mod on Max Web Portal so I borrowed it from them to use on my site. I cleaned it up a bit, and created a DBS file so it could insert the necessary fields into the database. Thats all i did, but this mod originates from Max Web Portal. I liked it very much and thought it would do good as a stand alone mod. Its very similar to the way Links Manager 2 looks and works, but yet its different since its an article system.
So look out for it in the next few days. :)

Hmmm, I checked it out. It reminds me of my first try at an article MOD. In fact that is exactly what I was trying to do(modify the link manager) but I just wasn't happy with the way it worked for articles. So I started trying to integrate Article Mentor into Snitz. So would I. I just haven't added those yet 
I was focusing this weekend on a method for displaying templates for different categories, adding teaser code for the most recent article in a category and integrating the Snitz formatting button bar and Rich text Editor. That's just about finished and then I can move on to adding the functionality you mentioned.
