It is not realy a bug, you are redirected to the page you came from, which is what it does.
This would require quite a lot of code changes to accomplish since the code which does this is generic and does not know wether your are posting a category a forum or a topic, so it woud need completely changing to accomodate this.
and it's something I'd rather not go changing right now. It can get very complex going through and changing it, because you change it on 1 page and it affects x number of other pages, etc...
I think we've pretty much eliminated most of the problems with redirects by not allowing people to login on certain pages and all logouts redirect to default.asp
