<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote> I hadnt thought of that... I honestly see no point in adding categories to it. Thoughts anyone? <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>
Hum, It's ok when you have 10 Smilies, or 50 with fast access to internet. But it's not always the case. And maybe someone whant to put 200 Smilies. Don't forget with a tool like this... It's so easy to add new one. And if you look around you can find 1000's of smilies you can use on your site.
I know ISJX_YARK (Sorry if I'm ruff with your name) we did talk about it in: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2259

I still see it as pointless... Why would anybody want 200 smiles on there site? are there even that many that DONT look the same?
Its a possiblity

Yes they are... Ok, some are not realy Smillies, and there are so many size. Ok, so I won't had 200 Smillies, but you never know. Even 50 can be a long time with 14k modem :-( So it's why I think I would like to make them in categories... Showing categories one by one. And it's simpler to add...
Exemple: Got 20 Smillies (normal one, plus 10 Annimated) Plus one group of Simpsons faces, plus one of Star War, one Star Trek, and one Megaman X...
Just an exemple... So I put : Smillies Animated Smillies Star Wars Simpsons Star Trek Megaman X
The presentation will be nicer.

If its a matter of speed, no one uses 14k anymore, even the people that are still on dialup (like me) usually have at LEAST 33.6k, and for a little 15x15 image, its not going to take long to load.
If your talking about appearence, it wouldnt be too hard to edit the tables a little bit.
Putting categories in would require me to add another field to the table, and in the update, when updating all the smilies in the database would be lost.

DA, the links do not work.
If you need a place to host them for download, email them to me at hopper@vrtribe.com and I will put them on a shell account so anyone can download them

cfm-resources isnt the most reliable server, but thats what I got right now.
If your in such a hurry to get them and cant wait for the server to be up (which it is now), try me on icq, and I can send it to you that way.
